An elite group of around 80 specialists representing the Russian broadcasting market participated in the fifth technical seminar series organized by Okno TV in Novosibirsk (Siberia) on the October 14 and 15. Over half of those who took part are currently active in the TV sector and a further third in radio broadcasting.

The two-day event was centred upon meetings, round table discussions, seminars, lectures, and product presentations delivered by exhibiting firms. Participants judged these lectures on their information content and efficacy; the best score, it turned out, was achieved by a lecture delivered by Nico Lewis, the RTS/TELEX Senior Sales Manager with responsibility for Russia. Entitled "RTS/TELEX Intercom Systems," it elucidated, among other things, the system integration of products already established on the market with recently launched new products such as ADAM M, MADI, Zeus LE, Zeus LE+, and new keypanels using the Cyrillic alphabet. "RTS/TELEX is the market leader in Russia," comments Lewis, "so there is naturally considerable interest in our systems. Nonetheless, the positive response was gratifying."
