ProMedia Expands Podcast Studio Capabilities with Adorama Business Solutions

The NYC-Based Production Company’s Podcasting Studio Now Offers Video Capabilities to Facilitate New Projects

ProMedia, a NYC-based production and post-production company, recently enlisted Adorama Business Solutions, the premier technology resource for corporate, educational, and government institutions, to upgrade its existing podcast studio to offer video options. Eager to expand its client base and facilitate new projects, ProMedia sought to add video capabilities to its podcast studio by incorporating new lighting, video cameras, and video switching gear. While the team had some experience in video equipment, there was a gap in expertise in live switching, which Adorama Business Solutions provided.

Following an on-site discussion of requirements for ProMedia’s podcasting studio and budget parameters, Adorama Business Solutions worked hand-in-hand with the team to deliver a solution customized to the business’s needs. Selected equipment included: Datavideo SE-1200MU 6 Input Switcher with RMC-260 Controller, PTZOptics Second Generation IP Joystick Keyboard, PTZOptics 2MP Full HD Indoor PTZ Camera, and Soundcraft LX7 II 24 Channel Recording Mixer with 4 Sub Group Outputs.

ProMedia utilized the Adorama Access Essentials Plan to receive post-purchase technical support up to the first beneficial use of the new equipment, then email support for a year after purchase.

“Building a video studio has been a ton of work, more than I think we all anticipated. Working with Adorama Business Solutions meant I could stay a lot more focused on the rest of my work, which doesn’t go away,” said Scott Greenfield, Director of Post-Production at ProMedia. “It took a lot off of my plate in terms of leg-work in finding the right solutions, and then also there’s a huge amount of comfort in having the Adorama Access Essential Plan support contract and a troubleshooting partner.”

In addition to the podcast studio improvements, ProMedia also utilized Adorama Business Solution to upgrade its office computer and hard drives to support overall business expansion.
