The organic EL monitor which was launched in May 2011, is based on unique technologies that  reproduce black faithfully,  with a 1:1000000 contrast rate: thanks to the high contrast, there is considerably less afterimage and image shakiness, as well as an excellent response rate  and truly accurate color reproduction.

The specifically designed and patented processor improves the performance of the organic EL panel to answer the specifications of a master monitor, ensuring image uniformity (homogeneity of the entire screen color representation) and preventing “aging”, thus ensuring long-term reliability of the monitor.

This master monitor panel also benefits from Sony's unique "Super Top Emission" full HD (1920 × 1080) technology: light is emitted from the upper surface of the organic EL panel to display a high-luminance image. In addition, this technology increases the color reproduction fidelity with a  micro-cavity structure and a color filter, thus achieving a higher contrast.
