Phosphor Expands with Field Sales Engineer Andy Bellamy

Prior to his new position, Bellamy launched and operated Pro3D

Phosphor Ltd announced today that Andy Bellamy is coming on board as a Field Sales Engineer focusing on promoting AJA Video Systems’ acquisition, editing and conversion solutions in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

“We’re thrilled that Andy will be working with us, he is not only an expert in our field, but a thoroughly nice chap,” said Matthew Causon, Founder, Phosphor. “He has deep roots in all aspects of digital and post production and will be a huge asset to the team.”

Prior to his new position, Bellamy launched and operated Pro3D, a stereoscopic production facility that he founded to provide end-to-end 3D production and post-production services. Through Pro3D, he provided technical 3D crew and services for clients including Canon, Panasonic, Apple and The BBC. During his time at Pro3D, Bellamy also worked as a stereographer, 3D editor and grader.

With over a decade of experience in seemingly all facets of the industry, Bellamy got his start as a projectionist for bands touring throughout Europe while freelancing editing and camera operating duties for various indie projects. In 2004, he began working at Jigsaw Systems, a major Apple and AJA dealer, where heset up the broadcast sales division, and was instrumental in developing workflow-based marketing and insightful technical presentations.

He worked with key brands for the company such as AJA, SONY, Panasonic, Canon and CineForm. Following years of intense research and development at Jigsaw, Bellamy helped bring the first truly affordable stereoscopic workflow to market in the UK, including acquisition, edit and delivery for HD, 2K and 4K.
