Penta monitors in the New York Control Rooms of ABC

Penta Studiotech, LLC announced that the ABC (American Broadcasting Company) – the world’s largest broadcaster, a division of the Disney Company – adds Penta HD2line Pro monitors to its New York control rooms.

Markus Unfried, Penta’s VP for Sales and Marketing, remarked:  “It’s simple as A, B, C - Penta customers recognize that there are no better price points, and no better gray scale and color depth solutions than Penta’s 16-bit panel driver, top-notch broadcast monitors with ‘perfect color accuracy’.  We are delighted that ABC has instilled their trust in our product, and we’re honored to have ABC as a new customer.”

Unfried continued:  “In the last year alone, the global broadcast industry has experienced an economic double-whammy:  sustained requirements to cut costs, alongside serious pressure to become "greener" and more environmentally minded.  Penta, with its innovative product line meets both these economic challenges, while maintaining the highest quality precise and automated color calibration to EBU, SMPTE and ITU 709 standards.”

Looking toward April and the annual trade show produced by the National Association of Broadcasters, Unfried announced:  “In little more than a month, Team Penta returns again to Las Vegas – we invite all attendees to visit Booth N1-214 – where our team will be debuting two dazzling new product innovations:”

Penta Stretch Panel – 2- or 3-view Stretch Monitors in 1 competitively-priced unit
Penta Studiotech breaks ground with two new stretch panel prototypes PDP-3HE & PDP-4HE.  The latest addition to Penta’s internationally recognized HD2line series, the stretch panel is a high definition 10-bit broadcast monitor which can display 2 quadrants (PDP-4HE) or 3 quadrants (PDP-3HE).  The stretch panel monitor requires only one electronic component.  It is fan and noise free and replaces dual or triple display requirements with one unique monitor.  The resolutions of the stretch panels are 1920x400 (PDP-3HE) and 1920x500 (PDP-4HE).  Penta's new stretch panel enables UMD presentation in each quadrant, 8 audio signals (8 mono or 4 stereo) and users can even display different boarders and layouts (e.g. full screen, native resolution).

Penta Quad-Split
In response to the fact that multi-platform content delivery has become increasingly important and arguably is the dominant trend of the past year in large-scale broadcast media production, Penta introduces a new a quad split alternative.  Single view monitors instantly feature 4 views on one screen.  This transformative technology add-on can display UMD in each quadrant and 4 audio channels.  Users can control the quad split via Ethernet.  The new product innovation boasts an impressive array of inputs:  3G HD-SDI, Fiber Optic, HDMI without HDCP and Analog: CVBS.  There is a selection of aspect ratios, e.g., fullscreen, and users can save up to 10 factory or user layouts.

Penta Monitors – Size Matters
In addition to these two exciting developments, Penta will also be providing demonstrations of its brand new 55” LCD Broadcast monitor, the latest addition to the award-winning HD2line Pro Series.  “With Penta monitors,” said Unfried, “there are absolutely no compromises in core features like color accuracy, resolution, precise imaging and picture quality.  It proves that size matters and Penta monitors’ color matching remains unparalleled in the market from 17” up to 55”.  We defy even the keenest customer to find a better comparable monitor, at the price points we’re offering.”
