NOA to Launch VideoPlayer for jobDB™ at IBC 2016

At IBC 2016 (Amsterdam, 8-13 September), NOA is introducing NOA VideoPlayer for jobDB™, the company’s system that allows users to set up workflows for the ingest, reshaping, and analysis of media for archiving, re-transcoding, or other complex processes. NOA VideoPlayer is a comprehensive tool designed to respond to the specific needs of archiving professionals, providing them with the functionality, speed, and ease-of-use that can substantially improve accuracy, quality, and productivity.

NOA VideoPlayer, which is provided to existing jobDB users as a free-of-charge upgrade, will be demonstrated by NOA on stand 8.D91.
“Previously, we provided support for Windows Media Player within jobDB, but the new NOA VideoPlayer delivers much more as it was created specifically to enable significantly easier and more precise navigation and handling of ingested video files,” said Jean-Christophe Kummer, Managing Partner of NOA.  “Its tight integration within jobDB creates a more seamless workflow, while the provision of a range of viewing and examination options facilitates easy and quick navigation and handling of ingested video material throughout the entire QC process.”

NOA VideoPlayer supports a range of display modes that allow the user to navigate with greater freedom and precision through ingested material. A range of video settings such as de-interlacing and field order adjustment ensure correct replay behaviour and later transcoding of material. Easy segmenting of ingested material, together with quick navigation via shortcuts, improves and refines quality control activities in jobDB.
