NewTek Strengthens Collaboration with Mediability in Scandinavia
Visitors to Media City will have the opportunity for a hands-on experience with NewTek solutions, including the company’s IP Series Video Mix Engine VMC1, which enables users to connect, communicate, and share video and audio across the network using NDI. The workflow will also integrate with NewTek’s award-winning NDI native PTZ cameras.
The NVG1 NewTek-Vizrt IP Graphics Server will also be available for demonstration at Media City. The world-class turnkey video system combines NewTek’s software driven video technology with Vizrt’s industry leading Viz Trio character generator and Viz Engine compositing software. Therefore, visitors will be able to witness how to implement the highest quality computer graphics and motion graphics into any production.
“The Scandinavian market has always been at the leading edge of technology adoption, so we are very pleased to be able to give customers an opportunity to get an up-close view of our innovative NDI technology and IP solutions,” said Chris Waddington, senior director of Sales for NewTek. “This initiative also strengthens our ties with Mediability in the region, with whom we have a shared passion for giving customers the tools that allow them to simplify workflows and expand their creative possibilities.”
Ingrid Agasøster, chief marketing officer for Mediability Group added, “Our collaboration with NewTek will allow our customers greater flexibility in the way that they work. Our customers will also have the opportunity to see what forms an interconnected production workflow, with NDI at the heart of the new demo set up.”
The NewTek systems that will form part of Mediability’s demo workflow include:
- NewTek IP Series Video Mix Engine VMC1-R
- NewTek IP Series 2-Stripe Control Panel
- NewTek NC1 Studio I/O Module
- NewTek-Vizrt IP Graphics Engine NVG1
- NewTek NDI PTZ Cameras
NDI is in use on millions of devices and allows multiple video systems to identify and communicate with one another over IP. NDI can encode, transmit and receive many streams of high quality, low latency, frame-accurate video and audio in real time. This benefits any network-connected video device, including video mixers, graphics systems, capture cards, and many other production devices. This makes it possible to exponentially increase the number of sources available for live production switching, without directly attaching to devices, changing locations, or investing in expensive, high-bandwidth networks that simply replace SDI-based workflows.
As the leader in IP video technology, NewTek is transforming the way people create network-style television content and share it with the world. From sporting events, Web-based talk shows, live entertainment, classrooms, and corporate communications, to virtually any place people want to capture and publish live video, we give our customers the power to grow their audiences, brands and businesses faster than ever before.
