Newtec's DualFlow™ in Touch With Broadcasting Reality at IBC 2010

Newtec's DualFlow allows broadcasters to migrate towards IP satellite operations while retaining compatibility with traditional tape-based environments. DualFlow modulation products support both ASI and GbE (Gigabit Ethernet) interfaces in the same unit, which allows operators to continue service for clients using ASI and cater to clients already converted to IP operations. In short, broadcasters can choose when to make the switch to IP and how they spread the investment load during the transition period.
DualFlow presents broadcasters with the ability to transport simultaneous live broadcasting and data over the satellite link in the same carrier. Additionally, DualFlow enables two-way connectivity over satellite, introducing new interactive services (VoIP, Web browsing, file transfer, translation and comments to news items) to boost productivity. DualFlow is available on Newtec's Azimuth satellite broadcasting modulation equipment.

DualFlow increases the productivity of remote teams and gives broadcasters a competitive edge in offering instant live coverage of major events. Interactive services can be performed completely over satellite without the need for terrestrial communication links.
