News studio of the future

RTL Studio Cologne

RTL Studio Cologne

RTL wants to set new standards with a forward-looking news studio. After the extensive studio relaunch in the broadcasting center in Cologne, the four formats "RTL Aktuell", "RTL Nachtjournal" as well as "Punkt 6/7/8" and "Punkt 12" are to be broadcast from a joint studio. Instead of virtual green screens, there are now 144 square meter high-resolution video walls.

RTL is making its news studio future-proof with the latest technology. A large part of the news and magazine programs benefited from the extensive studio relaunch in the broadcasting center in Cologne. With "RTL Aktuell", the "RTL Nachtjournal" as well as "Punkt 6/7/8" and "Punkt 12" four formats will be broadcast from a common studio. Instead of virtual green screens, there are now 144 square meters of high-resolution video walls. At the same time, the overarching corporate branding of the RTL brand will be consistently recognizable in the programs in the future. The 445 square meter studio has three cameras and two special cameras, all of which are UHD-capable. 108 Arri LED daylight lights ensure the lighting of the studio and decoration shine.
