New EVS Connected Live truck hits the road for US tour

Following the success of EVS’ first demo tour of the United States last year, the company will introduce a new, bigger live demonstration truck at the 2017 NAB Show. The brand new mobile unit has been designed and integrated with EVS’ latest live production technology. EVS operators on board the new Connected Live truck will tour the US to demonstrate state-of-the-art live IP technology that gives production professionals greater collaborative working capabilities as well as creative toolsets for better live storytelling.

Connected Live technology

The demo truck will illustrate the versatility of the XT4K live production server with built-in IP connectors and 12G-SDI connectivity on a single wire, so users can build workflows around IP, SDI or hybrid technology.

EVS’ software-defined video switcher, DYVI will also be on board, showing how operators can benefit from its modular setup and faster configuration time. In addition, an entire collaborative production workflow, including XFile3, Connected Agent and C-Next solutions for sophisticated file transfer and monitoring will be displayed.

Creative Live demonstrations

Through connected workflows, the EVS truck will demonstrate solutions that help producers and directors to do more with their media assets, and allowing them to be more creative. Supporting 10-bit workflows, the XT4K will reveal its simple integration with HDR workflows.

“After last year’s success, we decided to renew the experience with a new and bigger truck,” said Quentin Grutman, SVP The Americas at EVS. “Customers really value the interaction with our solutions in a real-world environment and we look forward to building on the success of last year’s tour.”

NAB attendees will be able to see the the new Connected Live truck for the first time at the Alliance Production’s annual mobile truck event, which will take place on Monday, April 24. Immediately after the 2017 NAB Show, the EVS truck will hit the road for a year-long tour of the United States.
