NEP Completes New Zealand Deal to Acquire OSB Assets

NEP Group, the leading technical production partner for premier content producers of live sports and entertainment, announced that its New Zealand division has completed the purchase of mobile unit assets from Sky TV New Zealand. The agreement to purchase assets from Sky’s OSB subsidiary was previously announced in August 2020, followed by a months-long regulatory review. The deal was approved by the Overseas Investment Office last September and the New Zealand Commerce Commission this February.

NEP has purchased six HD OB units and has hired numerous staff to support these facilities. As part of the deal, NEP New Zealand will also become Sky’s mobile unit provider for broadcast production solutions in New Zealand for the next 10 years, beginning April 1, 2021, providing Sky Sport with the peace of mind of working with a consistent, proven outsourced production partner.
