Mediatec Invests in the Latest HD, 3G Technologies from Grass Valley

The recent additions will support a program to build 10 new OB vans

Mediatec, one of Europe’s most experienced outside broadcast corporations continues  to invest in the latest technology, setting itself apart with Grass Valley™ HD cameras and 3G transmission system.

As a long-time Grass Valley customer and well known for its production innovations, Mediatec has standardised on Grass Valley live production solutions for its outside broadcast trucks due to their reliability, power and multi-format flexibility, and has continued to add to its capabilities with new Grass Valley technologies over the last few years.

The recent additions will support a program to build 10 new OB vans. Mediatec selected the Grass Valley LDK 8000 Elite high-definition (HD) cameras thanks to their long lifespans, superb picture quality and familiarity to users. Combined with Grass Valley’s revolutionary fiber transmission system, the solution allows total flexibility, reliability and robustness in the field, as well as supporting Mediatec’s move towards a common fiber connectivity platform that is future-proofed by supporting 1080p50/60 acquisition.
