MediaMatters and IBC2018 Join Forces to Host Unique Speed Dating Event for Startups

IBC2018, the world’s most influential media, entertainment and technology show, today announced it has partnered with MediaMatters, the Dutch-based platform that connects media companies with startups and scale-ups, to host an exclusive ‘Speed dating with startups at IBC’business event on the final day of IBC2018.

The half-day event invites a select group of 15-20 innovative startups and scale-ups to present a short 2-minute pitch to a large audience of media executives from global media organisations including broadcasters, content owners and publishers on how their innovative solutions solve real business challenges. Following the pitch stage, media companies have the opportunity to connect with the startups and scale-ups to network and discuss potential business partnerships.

“Media companies are looking for new and innovative ways to push their businesses forward and startups are looking for partners to enable them to grow,” said Bert Kok, co-founder at MediaMatters. “Bringing them together at such an established, global forum like IBC2018 enables startups and scale-ups to connect with the right contacts with the aim to establish fruitful partnerships and to work together on new products and services that improve existing processes.”
