LYNX Technik Introduces yellobrik Dual Channel Reclocking SDI Distribution Amplifier and Fiber Optic Splitters

LYNX Technik will be at IBC 2012, stand 8.C76.

LYNX Technik AG, provider of modular interfaces is launching a yellobrik dual channel 3G/HD/SD-SDI reclocking distribution amplifier and three yellobrik fiber optic splitters.

The new yellobrik DVD 1823 reclocking DA provides distribution of any SDI signal from 270Mbit/s to 2.97Gbit/s including DVB-ASI signals.

It features one auto-detect SDI input and three multi-rate reclocked SDI outputs per channel.

The compact yellobrik DVD 1823 dual-channel reclocking DA is a general purpose distribution amplifier that is ideal for a number of broadcast distribution applications including those where space is at a premium.

The DVD 1823 comes standard with a 3-year warranty, power supply and plastic transport case.  It can be pre-ordered now and will be available for shipment in September, 2012.

The new yellobrik fiber optic splitters are bi-directional and split optical signals into multiple paths doubling or quadrupling the fiber functionality.

The three new yellobrik fiber optic single mode splitters include:
-    OSP 1812 - one input and two outputs with a power split ratio of 50/50.
-    OSP 1812 M - one input and two outputs, with a power split ratio of 90/10.  The second output at 10% power is typically used as a monitoring output.
-    OSP 1814 - one input and four outputs with a power split ratio of 25/25/25/25.

Due to the versatility of the new yellobrik splitters, typical applications of use are vast.  For example, they can be used when a broadcast or production facility requires links other than point-to-point links or any fiber application where signal copies are required.

The yellobrik fiber optic splitters are fully passive, meaning they require no power and operate at wavelengths 1260nm - 1650nm.

They can be used as standalone modules or two modules can be clipped together.  If rack mounting is required, the yellobrik RFR 1018 19" rack frame for passive yellobrik modules offers a tidy solution for up to four splitter modules or a combination of other passive yellobrik modules.

The three yellobrik fiber optic splitters will be available for shipment in September, 2012.
