Integrated Audio Metering for STAGETEC Consoles

OEM version of RTW TM9 for AURUS and CRESCENDO

Sound engineers in broadcast environments often complain about the small audio metering monitor that sits on top of the console’s meter bridge obstructing their view on the video monitors. Users of AURUS and CRESCENDO now have better times ahead: At this year’s IBC console manufacturer STAGETEC introduces a fully integrated version of German metering specialist RTW’s newest audio monitor TM9 which was developed as an OEM product.

STAGETEC integrates this metering unit invisibly into the console’s chassis from where it picks up the metering values from the NEXUS audio matrix just as the current stand-alone version does. In contrast to the stand-alone version all values are displayed on AURUS’ or CRESCENDO’s central TFT at the push of a button, thus rendering the external monitor redundant. Configuration is undertaken via the graphics tablet (AURUS) or keyboard and mouse (CRESCENDO). Touch operation as with the stand-alone is not applicable.

The integrated OEM-version offers the same supreme metering functionality and flexibility as the stand-alone TM series: Instruments can be scaled, positioned randomly and combined in almost any way in order to optimize use of the available screen space. Even multiple instruments of the same type, assigned to different input channels and configurations, can be displayed simultaneously. Instruments available include for example a Loudness Meter, a True Peak, Surround Sound Analyzer, Audio Vectorscope and many more.
