Ideal Systems Singapore Announces Strategic Partnership With Evertz
The Evertz product line is already widely used in the region by content creators, broadcasters, specialty channels, and television service providers to support their complex multichannel digital and HDTV broadcast environments and by telecommunications companies to roll out IPTV.
The partnership will allow for a deeper level of local support and service, with Ideal's Singapore-based engineers being trained in Canada and the U.K. on the full range of Evertz products and solutions. In addition, the partnership will see a major increase in regional technology training through Ideal's Summer Seminars, a series of free workshops hosted in Ideal's purpose-built Broadcast Labs in Singapore. The first Evertz seminars commence later this month, with the timings and agenda being posted on Ideal Singapore's Corporate Blog: www.ideal-systems.blogspot.sg.
The Evertz product line is already widely deployed in South East Asia, and Ideal's aim is to enhance the services being offered to current Evertz customers while designing the full spectrum of Evertz products including infrastructure, monitoring and control, master control, channel automation, file-based playout, and advanced media asset management into turnkey solutions for new customers.
"This is not about selling another brand of broadcast equipment, this is about the application of leading technology with top-notch local delivery and support. Ideal is building a deep product knowledge across the entire Evertz product range and is able to apply that knowledge to the local market by integrating Evertz products into solutions that not only fit our customer requirements, but exceed them — while staying on budget," said Fintan McKiernan, CEO of Ideal Systems Singapore. "We are working with Evertz because they are a billion-dollar company that reinvests substantial funds annually into product R&D, ensuring leading products for competitive advantage. Through our seminars and workshops Ideal will be providing advanced training on the latest broadcast technologies to local broadcasters at no cost.
The workshops and will engage local broadcast engineers in workshops focused on real-world situations found in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia, such as how to cost- effectively migrate in a managed way from legacy channel automation with device drivers to new IT centric automation and transmission, or how to apply a cohesive media asset management system across existing SD and, HD channels with a mix of traditional automation and self-automated IT playout channels. Solutions to the real problems facing Asian broadcasters today in file-based broadcast are complex , the day of the equipment box shifter has past, SI is no longer just systems integration, rather Sophisticated and Intelligent."
