I-MOVIX X10 and X10+ Add Color Matching to Real Time Continuous Ultra-Motion

.

I-MOVIX’s breakthrough X10 and X10+ real time continuous ultra-motion systems will be seen for the first time at IBC2013 featuring another industry-first: automatic colour matching. The new ColorMatch function, available on both X10 and X10+ systems, provides automatic in-field calibration between I-MOVIX systems and the other cameras used in a live broadcast.

The X10 and X10+ systems are the first and only cameras to offer broadcasters 10x super slow motion capture in full HD resolution with ‘always on’ continuous recording, allowing the systems to be used like any standard broadcast camera. X10+ also offers the extra ability to operate at frame rates up to 2,600 fps in 1080i50 or up to 5,600 fps in 720p60, with instant replay.

Fully integrated for live broadcast production and easy to operate by any broadcast camera crew, X10 and X10+ can be used to cross the divide between normal and specialist camera roles.

ColorMatch saves production crews time by simplifying the task of matching the colors between all cameras used at an event. This has been a lengthy and complicated process until now, but with ColorMatch any video engineer can get perfect results in a fraction of the time, in any lighting conditions. Once the calibration is done, it can be saved and instantly recalled as a preset for the camera.

Both X10 and X10+ are compatible with I-MOVIX’s new d-flicker– the first and only automatic deflickering system available for live use – which allows broadcasters to overcome interference from venue lighting systems. The combination of d-flicker and ColorMatch  technologies – both exclusive to I-MOVIX – with the unrivalled real time capabilities of X10 and X10+ make these systems the most versatile and usable ultra-motion cameras on the market.

“Ultra-motion can now claim to be ubiquitous: either indoors or outdoors in live production, X10 and X10+ are as easy to use as any ordinary camera and deliver incredible shots with beautiful image quality that is unmatchable by any other slow motion system,” said Laurent Renard, CEO, I-MOVIX.

Both X10 and X10+ are complete broadcast-integrated camera systems, comprising camera, camera control unit, and operational control panel. X10+ uses an additional slow-motion remote panel in the extreme slow motion mode. X10 uses the EVS XT3 production server.
