Holdan Presents Latest Panasonic Pro AV Equipment
posted:
On the 13th November, BVE North will open its doors at the Manchester Central Arena where Holdan will demonstrate some of the very latest Panasonic ProAV camera equipment. As the official Panasonic distributor, Holdan will exhibit twenty-seven Panasonic broadcast and industrial medical vision products set up as a working studio under their ‘Live & Studio Solutions’ banner at stand C29.
Allan Leonhardsen, Sales and Marketing Director of Holdan UK explained that the unique set-up is designed “to give users an opportunity to see and work with the equipment in a real live situation, in a true studio setup.” This is particularly important for the equipment making its UK debut such as the AG-HPX600, AG-AC90 AW-HE60 and the AW-HE2 .

The AG-HPX600 is Panasonic’s latest P2 HD camcorder with 10-bit, 4:2:2 AVC-Intra recording and the lowest weight of any 2/3 type shoulder-mount unit. Weighing less than 3Kg and using low power, the HPX600 incorporates a newly-developed 2/3 type MOS sensor to produce beautiful HD and SD images. The HPX600 features wireless and wired connection ability with Wi-Fi, USB and Gigabit Ethernet and in addition, can be customised to include features such as wireless metadata input, proxy recording and variable frame rates. The HPX600 can also be upgraded as options such as LiveU support, AVC-ULTRA and microP2 become available.
The stylish new AG-AC90 AVCCAM camera recorder on show combines the high image quality, advanced functions and easy operation that professionals demand in a stylish, easy-to-handle design. Its zoom lens extends from 29.8 mm (35mm equivalent) wide angle to 12x optical zoom, with a high speed of F1.5 brightness. BSI (backside illumination) type 3MOS image sensors exhibit high sensitivity, Full-HD resolution and a high S/N ratio. The AVCHD recorder section supports both PS mode, for Full-HD progressive image production, and pro-use PH mode. This gives a camera operator the field of view, image quality, and file/video formats he/she needs for news gathering and image production. Other professional operating features include Triple Manual Rings (focus, zoom and iris) that approach the versatility and feel of the interchangeable lenses, XLR Microphone/Audio inputs, and remote terminals to provide the system expandability that professional applications require.

Not to be released until December, the AW-HE60 and AW-HE2 will also be available for attendees to appreciate. The AW-HE60 full HD remote pan-tilt camera is capable of IP image monitoring and equipped with infrared “Night mode”, a 1/3 type Full-HD MOS sensor, 18x optical zoom lens and a HD SDI or HDMI output interface depending on the model. The AW-HE2 represents a new concept of ”affordable + IP + Full HD” remote cameras that offer high flexibility at a low cost. Features include its 1/2.33 type MOS sensor, Panasonic’s Professional Image Creation Technology and iA zoom with super resolution technology up to supported Multi – format (1080p).

In addition to the broadcast equipment, a number of Panasonic’s recently-announced industrial medical vision cameras will be featured. This will include both the GP-KH232E and GP-US932X micro cameras. Although the GP-KH232E is ultra compact, it does not compromise on picture quality in terms of resolution, sensitivity and colour reproduction. It has a single chip CMOS approach for high image quality and new Digital Signal Processing resulting in a very small digital HD camera head with standard C-Mount type lens interface. It supports a range of video formats up to 1080p full HD and achieves a horizontal resolution of 900 TV Lines, with a required illumination of 2000lx at F5.6. Supporting a head-CCU cable range from 2m to 15m and having two CCU versions with three simultaneously running video output terminals among Component/RGB, HDMI, HDSDI and Y/C (depending on the box type) make this camera best for narrow space solutions and supporting almost all type of video monitors.
Alternatively, the GP-US932X is a micro camera designed for long distance as it combines one of the smallest remote 3-chip camera heads in the market with digitised video signal, the possibility to use different cable lengths with the camera and the ability to use many different video formats; HD/SD/digital/ analogue. Additionally, performance is enhanced by improved sensors, a stunning 1000 TV Lines resolution and increased light sensitivity of 2000lx at F10. Other functions like image rotation and mirroring options, three pre-sets including the colour temperatures, the freeze picture, 2.5x electronic zoom, 12-axis colour matrix and frequency-depending detail enhancement makes this camera a versatile product. With the new Binning Mode the sensitivity can be increased to 2000lx at F11 with almost no reduction in resolution.
