Global Television Move to Bel Digital Audio

Bel Digital Audio Confidence Monitors for Expansion of Fleet

UK manufacturer Bel Digital Audio and its Australian distributor Professional Audio Technology Pty Ltd have announced the supply of 18 x BM-A1-16SHD high quality audio confidence monitors to outside broadcast specialist Global Television, part of the US NEP group. The supply of the BM-A1-16SHD monitors is in line with an ongoing effort to expand their mobile HD TV equipment arsenal for upcoming live broadcasts during 2014.

The Bel Digital BM-A1-16SHD is a high quality audio monitor, which can accept audio from 2 SDI, 4 x AES pairs (BNC) and analogue inputs. The SDI inputs automatically detect SD, HD or 3G video and de-Multiplex all 16 audio channels. One active loop-through output is available for the selected SDI input. Furthermore, the unit provides 8 x high resolution tri-colour bargraphs that can be toggled across two banks. All 16 audio channels can be selected or mixed and directed to each speaker. Channel 1-8 are also available as 4 x AES (BNC) outputs and analogue outputs with front panel volume control.

Global Television’s Technical Service Manager – Milan Milenkovic commented “Our very busy schedule for 2014 required us to increase the number of confidence monitors in our fleet. Once again PAT offered us outstanding technology with very short delivery times and was able to meet our budget with the BM-A1-16SHD monitors from Bel Digital.” Bel Digital’s International Sales Manager Craig Lovell noted that “…we are delighted to have been chosen by Global Television as the supplier for their new monitors and we are looking forward to supporting Global in their ongoing endeavours during 2014 in what is going to be a very busy year for live sport worldwide.”

The units will be dispatched to various large international events throughout the year, while also being used in Australia locally.
