French Systems Integrator Preview selects Harris to Equip Four HD OB vans

Harris BroadcastCommunications has just announced the sale of an end-to-end HDinfrastructure solution to French SI Preview for four of their new"turn-key system" HD OB vans to be used at the 2010 African Cupof Nations in Angola in January. The Harris installations includerouters, audio and video processors, multiviewers, test and measurement toolsand graphics systems.

Each of the four vans handles the input of 16 cameras

Each of the four vans handles the input of 16 camerasand will be equipped with a 15RU 128x176 HD Platinum™ router with 64x64 AESaudio and redundant cross-points. Each truck will also contain 23 QVM6800+ Quadmultiviewers, four Videotek® CMN-91 Compact Monitor multiformat signalanalyzers with a built-in LCD display, two X85™ multiple applicationvideo/audio processors, Inscriber® TitleOne™ broadcast and production graphicssystems, glue equipment for up-/down-/cross-conversion and CCS Navigator™software for control and monitoring of the entire Harris infrastructuresolution. Harris fibre optic technology (OXS+2+OP+ 3Gb/s fibre receiversand transmitters, OP+AVR analog fibre receivers and OP+AVT analog fibretransmitters) will also be installed in each of the trucks to handle signalscoming from a number of HD cameras.
