FRAMETRUNK SUPPORTS REMOTE PRODUCTION PROJECTS DURING LOCKDOWN

For BBC Three’s ‘Yung Filly’s Celeb Lock In’, which goes to air Sunday 2nd of August, FrameTrunk provided a remote production gallery for incoming contribution feeds, including remote vision mixing facilities, to produce a live rough cut for the show. The new gameshow filmed from six locations throughout the UK has households competing head to head.

The production team were located in their homes, viewing a low latency multiview feed using FrameTrunk’s software platform, ‘FrameCentral’. Full comms were also provided, by ProImage Solutions, ensuring smooth communication between all parties during the broadcast. Post show, FrameTrunk provided transcode and digital delivery of all rushes to the editors’ homes.

Another lockdown project was Globe Productions,‘One Love Covid-19 Relief Auction’ for Island Records, supporting NHS charities and Feeding America, featuring donations including private performances, memorabilia, and exclusive concert tickets from some of the most iconic names in music.

Remote control hot head cameras from New York, bonded with 4G, fed the video content back to FrameTrunk’s HQ based in London to provide a live vision mix, including external graphics and VT play in. The charity auction video feed was also pushed live across YouTube to maximise viewership. The ISO’s were recorded back in London, with producers located at home with access to FrameTrunk’s virtual remote gallery. Full comms systems were provided to tech and talent in New York with Director and Producer based in London.

Having worked across numerous post houses for over thirty years, John is a highly accomplished editor across multiple platforms. He also offers bespoke workflows, post supervision and supplies suitable edit talent to FrameTrunk.
