EVS Expands Global Team With Seven Key New Hires

EVS, the leading provider of live video production systems, has appointed five key members of staff to help bolster its global operations - including senior-level hires in EMEA and The Americas.

Frédéric Nys joins EVS as SVP of global operations and professional services. Based in EVS’ Belgium HQ, he has over 20 years of experience working in the development of internet technologies, having previously spent 11 years at Option NV where he was most recently EVP of engineering and technology. He’ll be in charge of supply chain, logistics and quality, customer projects, production, assembly and planning, customer services and training. Frédéric will also be a member of EVS’ Executive Committee.

Mohammed Bouita joins EVS as vice president of sales for the Middle East and Northern Africa. He will lead regional sales and the expansion of operations in the Middle East region from EVS’ Dubai office. Bouita has nine years of industry experience and knowledge of the region, having previously held sales and managerial roles at Dalet and GVG.

Michael Heap has been appointed as market solution manager of EVS’ news division. Before joining EVS, he worked for companies such as Al Jazeera and Oman TV and as a TV news consultant for ITN. His ten years of expertise in the news industry, along with his extensive knowledge in media and digital asset management will be invaluable to EVS as he relocates to join the head office in Belgium.

Cédric Tombeur has joined EVS as business development manager. Before joining EVS, Cédric worked for Deloitte Consulting, and was most recently a business strategy advisor for Swinguru. He will be based at EVS’ Belgium HQ and will be responsible for managing and developing EVS’ network of technical and business partners as well as its strategic partnerships. He brings with him a wealth of experience across a variety of industries and expertise in defining and executing global strategic initiatives, customer relationship management as well as business process management.

Jeff Gouch has been appointed Sales Manager, North Central Region, US. Jeff has an established track record in the Broadcast, Sports and Production markets achieved during his 25+ years in the industry. His experience includes sales manager roles with Panasonic and Grass Valley, national and regional sales management roles for several video technology companies and principal of a manufacturer’s rep agency. Jeff graduated from Ohio Univeristy, College of Communications – School of Radio and Television. He resides in the Chicago area.

Cristian Garcia has been appointed as business development manager for its Media division, The Americas. Based in EVS’ West coast office in Burbank, California, Garcia will spearhead business development efforts, as well as provide pre-sales engineering and product specialist support for the sales team. Prior to joining EVS, Garcia held various management positions at Astrodesign, spanning product and technical marketing, and business development for its 4K and JPEG 2000 solutions. He was also technical sales manager at Evertz, where he focused on their multi-viewer and video transport products.

Finally, Peggy Stalhut has come on board as marketing manager for The Americas and will be based at the US headquarters in Fairfield, New Jersey. She brings over 16 years of marketing and communications management experience, having previously held marketing roles with Harris and Chyron. She will be responsible for EVS’ strategic marketing and communications plans for the North, Central and South Americas regions.
