Journalist Editing Toolset packs the complete workflow between Sony XDCAM camcorder and editorial system onto the USB stick

The Journalist Editing Toolset JETset by Hamburg Pro Media (HPM) – worldwide exclusively with Media Logic – is the mobile solution for XDCAM workflow between camcorder and editorial system. Once the data structure including proxy clips is loaded from the camcorder onto the USB stick, the subsequent editorial processing of the projects will be done easily and location-independent on your MAC or PC notebook.

Cut client, player, meta data processing, picture marker with description and comments, drag & drop functionality, the familiar keyboard shortcuts like “JKL“ ... JETset provides all the basic editorial functions and hence goes far beyond material inspection and pre-cutting!

The thus created project data can then be imported by editorial systems, NLE systems or asset management solutions e.g. via XML. VPMS by S4M can check in the JETset project files and transfer only those parts used in the JETset timeline directly to FinalCut Pro for the hi-res cut. At that the MXF files can be used in FinalCut Pro with no additional conversion or re-wrapping. A further linking e.g. to Avid workflows via AMA shall also become reality in the future.
