DirectOut releases updated and new remote software for ANDIAMO and MA2CHBOX.XL

ANDIAMO Remote v2.6 delivers a number of significant enhancements for the ANDIAMO range. Firstly, in combination with the latest firmware, the software now enables 4 FS capability in that all ANDIAMO devices now support sample rates from 44.1 kHz up to 192 kHz to meet the highest sonic demands. There is improved level control with output gain/level/trim for every channel as well as a ‘Mute All Channels’ function, and level metering of all analog and AES I/Os via an easy-to-read bar graph display with peak hold. A new labeling feature enables individual labeling of all input and output channels. Finally, the new software version also enables AD/DA calibration in 0.1dB increments for precise adjustment of AD and DA converter reference levels.
MA2CHBOX.XL Remote is a brand new piece of software which enhances the feature set of this compact monitor device with the addition of a powerful 194 x 196 routing matrix. The software offers access to:
- 192 channels MADI I/O via three MADI ports (SC, BNC, SFP)
- Stereo AES3 I/O
- Stereo line out

- Routing matrix on a per-channel basis to create MADI streams and distribute or copy signals
- An intuitive GUI for more comfortable control of the device’s rich feature set (USB embedder, AES bit-transparency, AES/line out level control)
The routing is stored in the device.
According to Direct Out’s software developer, Claudio Becker-Foss, both software releases represent an important step forward for the products concerned. “The improvements made with the latest ANDIAMO firmware and remote software (in particular the implementation of even higher sample rate support) make an already excellent set of products even better still in terms of audio quality and performance, whilst the MA2CHBOX.XL Remote software effectively opens up a whole new area of operation for the product.
