DirectOut’s MONTONE.42 supports stream redundancy
The current upgrade of MONTONE.42 marks a further milestone in the ongoing development of the MONTONE.42 format converter since its launch two-and-a-half years ago. In 2017, the company added a new, intuitive and HTML-based GUI and the ANEMAN plug-in for network management and support of ST 2110-30 and ST 2059-2 to the feature set.
Claudio Becker-Foss, Network Audio Specialist at DirectOut, explains: "With the growing proliferation of IP-based production systems in the broadcast industry, our customers' demand for redundancy concepts is also increasing. We are pleased to be able to offer ST 2022-7 in MONTONE.42 at such an early stage. The first projects planned to incorporate this standard are now being implemented. And existing installations benefit from this update as well."
The stream redundancy update will be presented to the public for the first time at Integrated Systems Europe trade show in Amsterdam, on Stand 6-F145.
DirectOut is actively involved in establishing standards that ensure the transport and management of audio signals in IP-based networks, simplify them, and ensure far-reaching interoperability. The company is an active member of a number of industry associations including AIMS, AMWA and AES.
