DirectOut’s MONTONE.42 supports stream redundancy
posted:
The current upgrade of MONTONE.42 marks a further milestone in the ongoing development of the MONTONE.42 format converter since its launch two-and-a-half years ago. In 2017, the company added a new, intuitive and HTML-based GUI and the ANEMAN plug-in for network management and support of ST 2110-30 and ST 2059-2 to the feature set.
Claudio Becker-Foss, Network Audio Specialist at DirectOut, explains: "With the growing proliferation of IP-based production systems in the broadcast industry, our customers' demand for redundancy concepts is also increasing. We are pleased to be able to offer ST 2022-7 in MONTONE.42 at such an early stage. The first projects planned to incorporate this standard are now being implemented. And existing installations benefit from this update as well."
