DataMiner manages ARD’s live OTT broadcast services of the 2020 European football championship.
A DataMiner System deployed in Frankfurt at Hessischer Rundfunk manages among others encoding and QoS measurement solutions, all the way up to the origin server. But a variety of further platform resources are also involved, and these are located at both WDR and Bayerischer Rundfunk.
“This is a truly unique collaboration between all these parties, and we are very pleased to be part of it,” commented Kai von Garnier, Regional Sales Account Manager DACH at Skyline. “Of course, one of the main reasons so many broadcast and media companies call upon us is the fact that with DataMiner they can truly consolidate their entire operation across any vendor and technology boundaries. They can leverage the tremendous benefits of having a single pane of glass to manage such critical live services end to end. Another nice highlight here is also the unique value of the innovative DataMiner Cloud Live Data Sharing services. This enabled these individual media companies to join operations and collaborate much more easily and efficiently than ever before. And this is something we expect to see happening more and more in the future for companies leveraging DataMiner to become real agile data-driven operations. “
“This is yet another great win for DataMiner. It shows again how DataMiner can bring increasingly more value to the table in the new generation of ICT media operations, and how it has grown to become a real enabler of Digital Transformation, truly redefining workflows,” added Glenn D’Haene, Sales Director EMEA & APAC at Skyline. “This is just one of the many examples. Everybody here at Skyline is very proud these days to see in how many countless places around the globe DataMiner plays such a vital role in bringing this kind of exciting and unifying top events to the homes of billions of people.”
