Typical control room furniture and monitor display configuration based on Custom Consoles Module-R

Presteigne Charter, one of the world’s leading broadcast dry hire and systems rental specialists, has chosen Custom Consoles Module-R studio furniture for a transportable International Broadcast Centre (IBC) to be used during a major series of marine sports events.

Working in association with the event organisers, Presteigne Charter will design, integrate, operate and maintain the IBC as a fully-equipped custom-built structure occupying eight 40 foot containers. These will provide the resources needed to televise the regattas to viewers around the world.

“Module-R gives experienced clients the freedom to design their own module combinations to meet the exact requirements of a specific project,” explains Custom Consoles’ Sales Manager Gary Fuller. “The total system being configured by Presteigne Charter for this series of regattas includes 15 Module-R desks to be used in master control, production and lighting control, video editing suites and an audio area. Module-R is a highly robust system, fully capable of withstanding the rigours of being transported to the many locations necessary for coverage of these events.”

A mix-and-matchable control room furniture range, Custom Consoles’ Module-R allows aesthetically pleasing and long-life control-room desks to be produced from a selection of high-quality pods, base sections, 19 inch rack housings, worktops, end-panel modules and legs. Co-ordinated desk pods are available as single-bay sections with up 10 rack-unit chassis capacity. Module-R cabinets are constructed from high-quality veneered MDF. Other features include continuous brush-strip cable access to front worktops, optional 19 inch rear-desk equipment pods, ventilated front-access panels and hardwood worktop edging.
