BroaMan Promises Exciting MADI Launch at IBC2014

Also more multi-standard interconnectivity will be demonstrated

Broadcast Manufactur GmbH (BroaMan) will present its growing portfolio of customised solutions for broadcasters requiring SD/HD/3G video transport solutions at this year’s IBC2014 (booth #8.C60, Amsterdam RAI).

Among the series of hybrid video/intercom/data units for Clear-Com is the MUX22 IC444 SDI intercom device, complete with video sync, aimed at OB vans — which was successfully shown at last year’s show.

Twelve months on and BroaMan will be adding a vital extension to the MUX22 range, opening up the world of MADI with a new device, which will be previewed for the first time at the show.

Earlier this year sister company Optocore completed the software to enable their own devices to be connected directly to the Optocore-DiGiCo fibre loop — and to demonstrate the implementation of this Optocore network technology they will have a DiGiCo console built into their stand.

Following the successful implementation of a single mode fibre network, inter-connecting the stands of DiGiCo and Clear-Com with their own at Frankfurt Prolight+Sound earlier in the year, BroaMan will repeat this exercise at the RAI where visitors can once again see video, audio, intercom and data transmission between the three booths in real time.

About BroaMan
BroaMan (Broadcast Manufactur GmbH) products are aimed at broadcasters as well as production companies, sport facilities, professional AV integrators and many more applications. The company offers customised solutions for every application that requires SD/HD/3G video transport or routing – whether a big and complex system for broadcast studio or OB Van, or a simple point to point for a small church, conference hall, etc. With DiViNe (Digital Video Network) all open standards can be integrated — digital video, audio and data — on the same fibre infrastructure. The main differentiator from other companies providing video over fibre solutions is the approach. Each video system is unique and every customer requires a different level of complexity and features. Each BroaMan system is tailored to match the customer's exact needs. Using the DiViNe system the customer, together with BroaMan’s Application Engineering team, can specify the general system performance, the interface layout — based on basic frames — and some special features. As a result each customer receives his own bespoke system, which perfectly matches his application.
