Broadcast Pix Showcases Integrated Production Switchers with Digital Garage at BVE 2017

Digital Garage, which recently installed Broadcast Pix integrated production switchers in four UK universities, will demonstrate Broadcast Pix’s tailored solutions at BVE 2017.

Broadcast Pix™ will demonstrate its live production systems with Digital Garage during BVE2017 (Stand K52), which runs Feb. 28 – March 2 at ExCeL London. In addition to its integrated production switchers, Broadcast Pix will demonstrate the new Broadcast Pix Commander™ series of live production systems with a streamlined touchscreen interface and BPNet™ cloud-based video workflow service.

A systems integrator based in Banbury, Oxfordshire, Digital Garage recently installed Broadcast Pix integrated production switchers in four universities. “We love the versatility that Broadcast Pix brings to live production, whether for traditional baseband video or live streaming,” said Michael Whelan, managing director, Digital Garage. “Many of our customers’ studios are fed media from post production. Broadcast Pix’s ability to support DNx and ProRes codecs means we deliver media natively to the switcher directly from our Avid, Adobe, or Final Cut environments whilst we are live on the air. Plus, BPNet provides the ability to contribute to the live production from anywhere on the web, which takes away that whole feeling of remote broadcast.”

The BPNet production ecosystem works as an independent system or seamlessly with Broadcast Pix integrated production switchers. From any web browser, it enables users to securely share and collaborate from anywhere, convert video files without any technical knowledge, and distribute content to any social media or broadcast platform with a single click. BPNet Upload, a free app for iOS and Android mobile devices, works in conjunction with BPNet to allow reporters to transfer media files from the field directly to a Broadcast Pix system.

Designed for government, education, corporate, and live events, Commander allows non-technical personnel to easily execute sophisticated productions. Its intuitive touchscreen control panel dramatically simplifies switching, robotic camera control, and the use of graphics, clips and effects. Available in three configurations, Commander can be customized with the optional BPCommand toolkit or integrated with existing Broadcast Pix switchers with the Commander Interface Option.

“We’re proud to be part of BVE with our partner, Digital Garage,” added Lee Griffin, EMEA sales manager, Broadcast Pix. “This is a great opportunity to showcase our tailored solutions, which make it easy for you to create professional live video with all the tools you need. We’ll also demonstrate BPNet, our cloud-based video workflow service that lets you sidestep all the formatting and FTP issues so you can concentrate on creative productivity.”
