Broadcast Pix Offers Free PixPlay Slo-Mo Software for Customers with Purchase of AJA Ki Pro or Ki Pro Rack
posted:
During the PixPlay Promo, purchase any AJA Ki Pro or Ki Pro Rack and a Broadcast Pix Flint™, Granite™, Mica™, or Roadie integrated production switcher, and the new PixPlay slo-mo software is free. Current Broadcast Pix customers who purchase one of the Ki Pro products will also receive the software for free, if their system uses or is upgraded to Version 4.5 software for Granite and Mica or Version 3.5 for Flint. All Broadcast Pix Roadie systems ship with the software necessary to support PixPlay.
An operator can replay footage manually using controls on the front panel of the Ki Pro – but with PixPlay, VTR control is ported to the production switcher along with six preset replay speeds. Ideal for almost any sports application, PixPlay allows users to “scrub” or single step through a scene for better control and functionality, as well as mark an unlimited number of “in” points as part of a playback EDL for preparing a highlight reel.

The Ki Pro family of products combines the power of a file-based recorder with the familiar controls of a VTR in a portable unit. They capture Apple ProRes 422 files that can be used in most editing systems. Ki Pro and Ki Pro Rack’s comprehensive analog and digital connections provide AJA’s high-quality up/down/cross conversion for seamless integration between formats and sources. Ki Pro is AJA’s portable recorder/player ideal for on-set or post use, and Ki Pro Rack is a 1 RU HD/SD file-based VTR alternative for post, broadcast, and mobile truck environments.
“Broadcast Pix’s production switchers deliver top quality professional broadcast solutions; adding our Ki Pro or Ki Pro Rack products further streamlines workflows,” said Nick Rashby, president, AJA Video Systems. “Adding PixPlay into the mix for free is a great value add for customers who might need to integrate slo-mo and replay into their productions.”
