The 81,000 square-meter Baoshan Sports Center and library, located in the heart of Shanghai’s Baoshan District, includes a multi-purpose basketball arena, gymnasium, library, and civic cultural/sports plaza. A total of 400 square meters of Lighthouse-supplied display screens were installed both indoors and out. The outdoor screen, installed on the stage of the civic plaza, is a 20mm pixel pitch measuring 15 meters wide and 9 meters (3 stories) high. The basketball arena’s center-hung, eight sided scoreboard and ring screens are all 16mm, as is the LED fascia ribbon display. The center-hung scoreboard screens and main video screen, featuring only 6mm pixel elements, are among Lighthouse’s thinnest and lightest products. The display screens for the project include a built-in Lighthouse LED failure diagnostic system and enhanced grayscale processing technology for optimal image quality. Together with its high image resolution, high contrast ratio, high brightness and high refresh rate, built-in HDMI LED processors—an industry first developed by Lighthouse—enable Lighthouse display screens to present more vivid HD imagery.

Baoshan Sports Center stadium, now renovated according to NBA standards, is expected to become a major venue for international basketball games and large performances.
