BBC use Arqiva SNG for Crimewatch Roadshow

Arqiva’s SNG/Production-facilities truck

The BBC chose Arqiva’s Occasional Use services to support their live ‘Crimewatch Roadshow’ series. Arqiva’s SNG/Production-facilities truck was used to film and uplink the live elements of the programme via Arqiva’s capacity on the W2A satellite.

Malcolm Campbell, Commercial Director at Arqiva Satellite & Media, said: “We were honoured to be asked to provide SNG and production facilities for this popular BBC TV series. Our SNG truck, with cameras, lighting and crew, was deployed to locations across the UK and delivered the live footage to the BBC via the W2A satellite. Owning and operating a fleet of SNG vehicles in the UK and Europe, Arqiva is well placed to work with major broadcasters to support the contribution of live elements to their TV programming.”

Arqiva has the infrastructure and experience to help rights owners, programme makers and broadcasters to create and capture content, and to manage and deliver high quality television around the world. With a fleet of SNG trucks and over 100 earth stations at multiple teleports Arqiva regularly enables the managed global delivery of live and special events.
