ARRI Alexa Pro now Wireless

Signal transmission, control of the camera parameters and tally signaling are integral part of the HDwireless application

In close cooperation with ARRI Broadcast in Munich HDwireless has devloped a wireless adapter for the film camera ARRI Alexa Pro. After several months of combined development efforts the ARRI Alexa Pro wireless was live on air on Tuesday 27 March in the ZDF production “Neues aus der Anstalt” and the team could celebrate a world premiere.

The development was focused on achieving the highest possible image transfer rate, to build a RCP suitable for TV live productions as well as the integration of the whole system into the camera shading control and the video production area of the studio. The merger of the Alexa Pro components with the wireless components now allows operating the ARRI Alexa like any other HD wireless camera.

All connections such as signal transmission, control of the camera parameters and tally signaling are integral part of the HDwireless application. The wireless application as available in the HDwireless rental store under the product name “HF_HDwireless Alexa Broadcast”.
