Euro Media France at Opéra Garnier

The EMF teams provided coverage of the show on 3 dates: 29th June, 4th July and 8th July, but the show continued until 14th July. The production is the responsibility of Telmondis in a coproduction with Bel air Media, Opéra National de Paris and Mezzo, and with the participation of France 2 and Ciel Ecran.On Thursday 8th July, the show, directed by Vincent Bataillon, was broadcasted live to over 50 theatres in France and a dozen in Europe.
This operation is significant not so much because of the technical facilities used (OBVan XXL1 – OBVan 21 – team of 7 cameras) as because of the preparatory work required for working in such a beautiful setting. There was also significant wiring work, and the sound of the Orchestre National de Paris was recorded in 5.1 Surround.
The whole EMF team worked in close cooperation with the audiovisual service of the Opéra Garnier and in particular with its head, Laurent Métivier, and his assistant Caroline Ludot.
