PLAZAMEDIA Expands its Range of Monitor Equipment

PLAZAMEDIA has been working with the 24" Sony LMD-2451TD high-performance LCD monitor for its 3D production since autumn 2010, and is installing the 10 new units in their audio cabins, main control room workstations and graphics and highlighting workstations for SKY and LIGA total!, as well as for SKY's new 3D broadcasting.

The Sony LMD-2451TD's professional full HD LCD panel is fitted with a micro polarisation filter and polarised 3D discs. The ChromaTRU technology developed by Sony ensures the monitor's consistent colour performance – even when the picture's brightness changes.

Apart from the 10 3D monitors, PLAZAMEDIA also uses 19 23" Sony LMD-2341W high-performance 2D monitors. The company uses the monitors in 16 newly built HD-AVID editing suites and in other workstations in the main control room.

With their slim aluminium housing, the Sony LMD-2341W units fit into any video wall. They have a number of connections including SDI (3G/HD/SD), composite and HDMI, making connection an easy task. Users can dynamically control the source names and tally via an Ethernet remote control. This monitor, also features ChromaTRU technology and 10-bit signal processing for true-to-life colours, optimum gamma correction, stable white balance and precise images.
