The MEDIAPRO Group Produced a Round of the Surfing World Series in 3D

MEDIAPRO 3D (made up of the R+D Department, Medialuso and partner Kronomav) has provided unprecedented coverage of one of the events of the Surf World Series, Rip Curl Pro Portugal 2010, from the Supertubos and Belgas de Peniche beaches in Portugal, with a simultaneous SD, HD and 3D production.
This latest challenge proved a great success for the client, the Portuguese cable network MEO part of the Portugal Telecom Group.
Stand alone 2D and 3D cameras linked by radio-frequency, 5 3D camera positions and 6 2D positions, in addition to helicopter support for the last day of competition allowed viewers of the Portuguese cable network MEO to experience 3D live in what was a unique viewing opportunity. Contestants and VIP guests got the chance to see the 3D images live from the MEO tent located in the center of operations right by the action on Supertubos beach.
