Films @ 59 Installs BrightDrive Media File Server for New Stereo3D Workflow

The new BrightDrive is networked with an Autodesk Flame Premium

Bright Technologies, Inc., developer of advanced technology for shared media, has announced that Bristol-based post-production house, Films @ 59, has installed a BrightDrive media file server to provide the shared storage infrastructure for its new Stereo3D post-production and VFX workflows. The system was supplied by London-based post-production and broadcast industry supplier, XTFX.

The new BrightDrive is networked with an Autodesk Flame Premium which provides 2K 3D stereoscopic finishing, making Films @ 59 currently the only 2K Stereo3D facility west of London. Together, the systems provide a powerful, state of the art 2K and Stereo3D shared data environment that enhances and complements Films @ 59’s existing 2D facilities.

BrightDrive’s advanced file management technology enables content creators to achieve significant cost-savings from their workflows by maximizing system performance levels, even when the throughput of data is at its highest. BrightDrive optimizes the way media is recorded onto disk thereby reducing the occurrence of data randomization. BrightDrive G2 and G2 Pro network file servers are compatible with all leading file-based media applications and file formats, and support all media workflows including commercials, animation, DI, dailies, restoration and VFX.
