EMF Puts a 3D Mark on a Unique Fashion Show

Jean-Paul Gauthier presented his new collection, inspired by the film Black Swan

On Wednesday, 6th July, Euro Media France made its mark on the haute couture show celebrating 35 years of work by Jean-Paul Gauthier. Of course, EMF didn’t sew the seams, except on the technical equipment used to record the show in 3D.

The artist presented his new collection, inspired by the film, Black Swan: an event that was seen in 3D thanks to 3 3D cameras linked to Euro Media France’s fly control room, placed at the very heart of the room.

The team of some forty people led by Carlos Fernandes worked for 2 days under difficult conditions to manage this feat.

It was shown the same evening on a giant screen in the Espace Pierre Cardin for the national launch of the channel NRJ Paris.

1 tonne of equipment was used, including a Sony MVS 6000 mixer, 1 LSM server, 3 HDCAM recorders, 3 DVCAM recorders, 2 Dvc Pro recorders, 6 Sony P1 cameras mounted on 3 rigs, 1 Yamaha DM1000 console, and a control position mounted on a podium.

Jean-Paul Gauthier made use of the show to launch his new scent Cocorico and to show his friend Mylène Farmer on the catwalk.

She may not be appearing much in the media to promote her new album “Bleu Noir”, but the singer presented a wedding dress made of feathers, like most of the collection. The dress designed especially for the singer was called by the designer Libertine Swan.
