Back in July 2012, Hawk-Eye Innovations, the International Football Association Board (IFAB) approved the use of goal-line technology (GLT), enabling Hawk-Eye to apply to become FIFA goal-line technology licensees. Following the awarding by FIFA of the licence agreement on 23 October 2012, Hawk-Eye received official authorisation to install its respective goal-line technology systems worldwide.

France’s Swimmers Dominated Europeans at Home

France’s swimmers concluded the EDF European Short Course Swimming Championships on home soil in Chartres with ten medals – four of them gold – on a triumphant final day. As at the Olympic Games in London, France proved to be the current number one European nation in swimming winning a total of 29 medals (12-6-11). Hungary and Denmark were joint runners-up with 12 medals each (6-4-2). Denmark will host the next Short Course Europeans at Herning on 12-15 December 2013.

Infront Signs Eurosport Asia-Pacific to Realise First-Ever TV Coverage of Kontinental Hockey League in Asia

Eurosport Asia-Pacific, one of the leading sports channels in the region, has acquired exclusive broadcast rights to up to 60 games of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) per season. The agreement runs for two years and is a real first for the top-tier Eurasian ice hockey league – which has never before achieved a comparable amount of TV coverage in Asia. The contract also covers mobile and internet rights on a non-exclusive basis. It was negotiated by the international sports marketing company Infront Sports & Media, as part of a KHL mandate for the Asian market.

Emmi extends its involvement in the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup

Emmi, Switzerland’s leading milk processor, has extended its international sponsorship involvement in the Audi FIS Alpine Ski World Cup ahead of time.
