A pair of Robert Juliat Victor followspots with DMX dimming has been installed at Studio 54 in Manhattan where the Roundabout Theatre Company’s production of “Cabaret” is packing the house.  Tony Award-winner Alan Cumming reprises his role in “Cabaret,” which also stars multi-Oscar nominee Michelle Williams who is making her Broadway debut.

The unconventional rock musical “Hedwig and the Angry Inch” is lighting up Broadway, and its lighting designer, Kevin Adams, is using Robert Juliat Victor followspots to light up the stage at the Belasco Theatre.

Danmon Svenska AB announces the appointment of Robert Tinterov as Managing Director. He joined the company with effect from Tuesday 15 November 2011 and is located at Danmon Svenska AB's headquarters in Täby. Robert Tinterov takes over from Robert Rosenberg who has been appointed Managing Director of the newly-established company Danmon Asia based in the Vietnamese capital, Hanoi.

The recently founded Robycam Germany will premiere a new Robycam system at IBC2018 show on the Broadcast Solutions stand Outdoor, O.E02. Named Robycam Compact the new system will be at the stand in full function flying over the visitors and showing augmented reality integration.

When Spain’s TVE network decided to introduce a new morning show with a different feel and different production options they turned to the industry leader of flying camera systems that they had worked with many times before: Up Films Imagen Aerea based in Madrid. The producers of ‘La Hora de la 1’ and Up Films needed a system that would provide tremendous production value in the small space of Prado del Rey’s existing Studio 1. At the same time, they needed something that would not take up a lot of room in the studio so that every inch of space can be utilized for production. And lastly, they wanted something that would integrate the cutting-edge graphics and visual style that they had envisioned for their new show. After looking at what’s available on the market, Up Films chose to go with Movicom’s Robycam Compact cable-suspended camera system. 

Robycam Germany GmbH and MAT- Mad About Technology announce their cooperation agreement. The premiere of the new cooperation is the companies’ joint appearance on NAB2019 in Las Vegas (8 - 11 April, stand C8544).

Robycam Germany GmbH, based in Bingen am Rhein, Germany, announces the change of name to Birds Camera Solutions GmbH. Birds Camera Solutions continues its business activities unchanged and continues to offer a range of cable camera systems as rentals for productions. In addition, the range of systems has been expanded to include smaller cable camera systems. A new addition to the system portfolio is the Birds Cam System, which is particularly suitable for smaller venues or studios because of its compact winches and camera head dimensions.

Movicom, international developer and manufacturer of leading-edge specialty camera systems for the broadcast industry, has inked an agreement with Dong Hwa A.V. Co. Ltd in partnership with Content Oceans to be the exclusive official representative for Robycam products in South Korea. “We’ve worked together for several years, and done some great projects with Dong Hwa”, said Victor Pakhomov, CEO of Movicom, “now everyone felt like it was time to take our cooperation to the next level.” The agreement goes into effect immediately, and Dong Hwa will now have its own Robycam system. ​

IBC Show 2018 has predictably proved to be fruitful and efficient for a lot of participants. For Movicom the event has not only been a great opportunity to show its recent innovation, the Robycam Compact, but also an honorable occasion to grant the first Robycam Supervisor Certificate in China to Sam Shan, the CTO of Lynex Film. 

Cable camera system Robycam is now available with compact 4K cameras. Visitors of the Broadcast Solutions event Broadcast Innovation Day Bingen, June 1, will have the chance to see the system in action together with a Grass Valley LDX C86N camera plus Canon CJ12x4.3 optics. At the event Robycam is installed with full function in the companies’ newly added hall 3.
