At the upcoming NAB Show, worldwide industry-leading manufacturer FOR-A® will showcase its new HVS-6000 4K 3 M/E video switcher. Offering 12G-SDI capability on all inputs and outputs, the HVS-6000 is the latest unit in FOR-A’s popular line of HANABI switchers. The new switcher is one of the many 12G supported solutions that FOR-A will highlight at the NAB Show in Las Vegas in booth #C5117.

High Dynamic Range (HDR) technologies are expected to again be among the hottest topics at next week’s 2018 NAB Show in Las Vegas. Hitachi Kokusai Electric America, Ltd. (Hitachi Kokusai) was one of the first manufacturers to deliver HDR-capable broadcast television cameras, and will continue its leadership in implementing and promoting HDR acquisition with live practical demonstrations and informative discussions in booth C4309 at the event.

Rohde & Schwarz will feature three system devices at the IP Showcase at NAB 2018. The devices all support SMPTE 2110, TR04 and TR05 and help facilitate the switch from SDI to IP infrastructures. With the upcoming release of dLive V1.7 firmware, engineers can monitor supported Shure wireless systems without leaving the mix position. All essential wireless information, including mutes, signal level and battery bars, is visible from Bank screens, allowing simultaneous monitoring of multiple channels. Selecting the Preamp tab on an individual wireless channel reveals more granular information, including RF frequency, device name and peak indicators. Receiver gain and mutes can also be controlled direct from the dLive touchscreen, or from a laptop running dLive Director software. dLive systems auto-detect any supported Shure wireless systems on the same network.

Canon today announced a firmware upgrade for its professional EOS C200, EOS C300 Mark II, XF405, XF400, EOS C700 and EOS C700 GS PL cameras. Major updates include the addition of XF-AVC (MXF) - a Canon video format - for the XF405, XF400 and C200. XF-AVC (MXF) offers increased efficiency for recording high-quality UHD and HD footage, while improving production workflows.
