Fujifilm Europe with its Optical Devices Division will use the IBC Show in Amsterdam, which runs from 7th to 11th September 2012, to introduce an all new Long focal length HD Field for the first time in Europe; the XA77x9.5BESM!

Outside broadcast, satellite uplink, and product design specialist SIS LIVE has been supporting the BBC and NHK over the summer in their deployment of the new super hi-vision technology. Super hi-vision is one of the new technologies showcased this summer, with selected events, including the Opening and Closing ceremonies and the Men’s 100m final being broadcast live in super hi-vision at special screenings around the UK, as well as at locations in Japan and the USA.

In 2012, German manufacturer Guntermann & Drunck GmbH will introduce a step towards the future of KVM: the ControlCenter-Digital. The modular KVM matrix switch for digital video will be launched at the RAI Amsterdam during IBC, September 6 - 11.

The German broadcast system integrator BFE announced today the establishment of a branch office in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The entity will operate from Dubai Studio City, Dubai's new hub for the Broadcast and Media industry.

Staged annually at Turnpost Farm, the Glastonbudget Festival is Europe’s largest and best-known festival for tribute acts. Every year, around 9,000 fans make the pilgrimage to the farm in the East Midlands between Leicester and Nottingham for the three-day event.
