One of the leading broadcast facilities companies in Germany, _wige SOLUTIONS, has added to its stock of Hitachi cameras to equip a new mid-sized outside broadcast production unit, PU3. _wige SOLUTIONS, based in Meuspath, has been using Hitachi cameras for three years. The new truck carries up to eight SK-HD1000 cameras with fibre transmission.

Globus Cinema, a single-screen, independent theatre in Mumbai, has become the first theatre in India to install the Sony SRX R320 4K digital cinema projection system. The new system, which includes stereoscopic 3D capability, is part of a major overhaul of the theatre’s cinema equipment. Globus has also purchased a new silver screen and a Datasat AP20 digital audio processor. All of the equipment was supplied, installed and professionally calibrated by Patel India’s digital cinema division.

When reorganizing its workflows, the internationally renowned Dutch Broadcast IT service provider ParkPost has integrated two VENICE Media Production Hubs from DVS into the OB vans of its sister company DutchView. The ParkPost team now benefits from a lean IT infrastructure. The newly equipped OB vans were especially busy during summer: VENICE was responsible for the ingest of the recorded material at the 2012 UEFA European Football Championship, Tour de France and the Olympic Games that were covered at the RTL “De Zomer Van 4” (Summer of 4) daily sports live show.

At the 27th Tonmeistertagung (Sound Engineer Convention), taking place from the 22nd – 25th November 2012 at “Congress-Centrum Nord” on the Cologne trade fair grounds, Sennheiser will present their cutting-edge solutions for the audio and event industries. GearhouseBroadcast announces the completionof an installation for sports federation UEFA at the organisation’s HQ in Nyon, Switzerland. Gearhouse Broadcast was commissioned to upgrade UEFA’s Match Center and Master Control Room in preparation for the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League tournaments for the 2012/2013 season.
