With automatic detection by the NewTek TriCaster® and NewTek’s IP Series of professional video switchers, the new cameras seamlessly integrate with the hundreds of other NDI-capable products, enabling NDI-based video production workflows without any additional configuration.
Summa schools broadcast students at Chabot College
Chabot College, one of many college installs for Calrec Audio, has further improved its hands-on learning for broadcast students with a major upgrade of its Calrec Summa audio console. Chabot, an accredited community college in Hayward, California, installed the desk in its campus television studio in 2015 to give students experience with the same industry-standard equipment they will encounter in a professional broadcast environment.
Lawo in Zhejiang TV’s new International TV Center
Zhejiang Radio & TV Group (ZRTG), located in Hangzhou (China), has established a new production facility that it has named the Zhejiang International TV Center. The center comprises a 42-storey main building housing several TV studios, and additional studios for music and film production. Central to the studios’ audio infrastructure are Lawo mc²36 and mc²66 digital mixing consoles, along with Lawo DALLIS stageboxes, Nova37 and Nova73 central routers.
Tigo Sports Paraguay Selects SAM for 4K Production Upgrade
Snell Advanced Media (SAM) today announced that Tigo Sports, Paraguay’s first sports channel dedicated exclusively to multiple sports coverage, has purchased a range of SAM solutions including its Sirius™ 840 router, Kudos™ LC350 framerate converters and IQ Modular™ infrastructure as part of a major upgrade to its facility. The upgrade allows the simultaneous production of HD and 4K content across major sporting events in Latin America. SAM’s partnership with Paraguayan reseller MACOM was key to delivering the project for Tigo Sports.
Hillsong Conference Sydney's Message Is Loud and Clear
Riedel Communications' all-new Bolero wireless intercom system and MediorNet real-time network played a key role in crew communications for the Hillsong Conference, a spiritual gathering of more than 22,000 attendees that took place July 4-7 at the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney. With 55 Bolero belt packs distributed to production team members throughout the arena and backstage, the Hillsong Conference marked the world's largest Bolero deployment to date. In addition, 40 MediorNet nodes provided the integrated audio, video, and data communications backbone for all production spaces.
New Genelec Experience Centre Opens in Bangalore
Following the remarkable success of the Genelec Experience Centre - which opened in London last summer - the concept of bringing state-of-the-art demonstration facilities direct to Genelec customers has spread to Bangalore, India, where a new Experience Centre has just been unveiled. Situated on the prestigious St Mark’s Road, the downtown showroom has been created in partnership with Genelec by regional AV specialist The Audio Video People. Inside, visitors can select their own source material and evaluate a wealth of Genelec monitors in stereo, surround and immersive audio configurations.

The amazing team from Robe’s South African distributor DWR Distribution totally excelled themselves at the 2017 Mediatech Africa exhibition last week … taking visitors on a show-stopping ‘experience’, culminating in a fully choreographed show staged at their new demo / showroom facility in Randburg, Johannesburg. The star of the show was Jeffrey, an impressive 3.2 metre high automated robot, with a real character, an expressive face and all his major body parts made / highlighted using a variety of Robe lighting fixtures.

Depeche Mode on Tour with beyerdynamic
British cult band Depeche Mode launched a world tour to celebrate its latest album, “Spirit”, in Stockholm on 5 May. In the first part of the tour, the band will be performing 34 shows in front of 1.5 million fans in 21 different European countries. The musicians will then continue their tour in North and South America.
