A real 'Fiesta del Fútbol'

Following the successful fan-based activities organised in Paris (2006), Athens (2007), Moscow (2008) and Rome (2009) during the previous years, the UEFA Champions Festival opens its doors for the public this year at the heart of the Spanish capital and welcomes all Madrileños, Spanish, finalists’ fans and city visitors to a week-long celebration of football which will be staged from Saturday 15 May to Saturday 22 May, closing just a few hours before the final takes place at the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu of Madrid.

A multi-event entertainment programme, with attractions and activities to appeal to all ages, is planned throughout the eight days and into the evenings at the Parque del Retiro (Plaza del Angel Caído) in the centre of Madrid, with the aim of allowing both football and non-football fans to experience the feeling of the UEFA Champions League Final, and the celebration that is UEFA Champions League football, irrespective of whether they are attending the final itself. The official opening ceremony is scheduled to take place on Saturday 15 May at 12.00 CET. Key highlight activities of this 8-day exciting programme of events include

The UEFA Champions League trophy will be on display for visitors with photo opportunities throughout the day.

This exclusive exhibition celebrity match featuring former footballing Spanish and international legends will take place on Saturday 22 May at 14.00 CET.

The Theatre of Champions is a unique emotional and powerful audiovisual display of the most glorious moments of the world’s greatest club competition since its humble beginnings in 1955.

An impressive collection of exclusive club and player memorabilia connected with the greatest names and games in European club football will be on display for all visitors to see.

Ambassadors appearances and skills clinics

The UEFA Young Champions tournament

This UEFA Young Champions tournament consists of a five-a-side football competition with boys and girls aged 10 to 16.
