SPORTELAsia 2010 succeeds in Singapore!

SPORTELAsia 2010, the international sports content market, wrapped up a successful 3-day gathering yesterday at the 5-star Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore, with a total of 527 participants, representing 291 companies from 45 countries worldwide in attendance, it was announced today by David Tomatis, CEO of SPORTEL. In making the announcement, Mr. Tomatis commented, “We are very pleased with the turnout and the reports from our clients that they had a busy and productive market."

The SPORTEL program

In addition to the brisk level of business being conducted on the market floor, the SPORTEL program offered attendees:

– A presentation by the Singapore Youth Olympic Games Organising Committee that will host the Inaugural Youth Olympic Games in Singapore later this year;

– A presentation by the Singapore Sports Council on the sports media industry in Singapore.

– A workshop on Sports Content Licensing conducted by the renowned Singapore law firm of Rajah & Tann LLP; and

– The 1st Asian/Pacific Sport TV Audience Award presented by Médiamétrie/Eurodata TV.

SPORTEL’s next event is SPORTELMonaco 2010, which will take place October 11-14, 2010 at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco.
