Audi at the motorsports classic in Le Mans

24 hours in Le Mans 2010

Around 1,000 VIP guests witnessed live the triple victory of Audi at the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans 2010 at the Audi Racing Arena on June 12/13, 2010 – with Creative Technology Germany as partner for the complex video, broadcast and audio technology.

More than 24 hours CT media technology

For brilliant live pictures of the entire race and its highlights, CT delivered a high-resolution Hibino 6mm LED screen and thirty 60“ LC displays - exclusively for the Audi guests at the arena.

The CT team was on site with seven HD camera systems broadcasting first-class pictures in HD quality from diverse locations around the race course.

From the control room, equipped with the professional Kahuna production switcher from the CT rental park, the signals were distributed to the different locations through several digital HD-SDI matrix switchers (96x96, 64x64 and 32x32). For the news coverage the CT team operated two HD cutting systems, playback and recording with a couple of DVS Pronto systems and a six channel video server from EVS.

For a premium sound experience during the broadcasting into the Audi Racing Arena multiple Meyer Sound loudspeaker systems were installed. With more than thirty technicians, CT was responsible for servicing the video, broadcast and audio technology and the technical realization of the 30 hours program on site in Le Mans. Moreover, the press conference and an internal Audi meeting on Friday before the race were also technically serviced by the CT team.
