Gearhouse Broadcast’s OB solutions and Hitachi cameras serve up TEB BNP Paribas WTA Championships tennis

Gearhouse Broadcast, a leading broadcast services specialists, has supplied sports production company Input Media with a complete outside broadcast solution and onsite support for its global production of the TEB BNP Paribas WTA Championships in Turkey, which ran from 22-27 October, 2013.

Istanbul’s Sinan Erdem Dome was equipped with ten Hitachi SK-HD 1200E camera chains as well as two Sony HDC-3300 Super Slo-mo cameras, three EVS XT2 servers, a Snell Sirius 128 router, Yamaha M7CL Audio Console and a Sony MVS-6530 Vision Switcher from Gearhouse Broadcast. The OB solutions delivered for Input Media provided flexibility and were also capable of handling the fast delivery and uninterrupted coverage required for live tennis.

This is the third consecutive year that Gearhouse Broadcast and Input Media have worked together on the TEB BNP Paribas WTA Championships, the season-ending event of the women’s tour featuring the top eight singles players and top four doubles teams. The two companies have also collaborated on a number of other international tennis tournaments, including the Australian Open and French Open Grand Slams.
