W-DMX™ on Lady Gaga World Tour

When the tour arrived in Stockholm, Sweden at the world-famous Ericsson Globe Arena, Wireless Solution was asked for equipment immediately for the show. Within hours, W-DMX BlackBox MK2 equipment was sent from Uddevalla in a special urgent delivery with directional antennas directly to the Globe in time for Lady Gaga’s performance. The equipment has continued on the rest of the world tour under the supervision of promoter Live Nation.

The W-DMX BlackBox MK2 is the most flexible wireless product on the market. First, it supports the easiest use for clients with support of: Quicklock Clamp, DIN Rail installation as well as rack mount – all from one unit. Pure plug and play. The lighting design is by Patrick Woodroffe with Mac Mosier as lighting director. The rig is a self-contained Upstaging production that includes about 270 moving lights and multiple LED fixtures - all controlled by a grandMA2 full-size. Adam Bassett is the associate lighting designer. The stage design was created by Mark Fisher with Ric Lipson.

The giant castle stage set is truly a masterpiece. James Fairorth, CEO of Tait Towers said, ”The stage set for the Born This Way Ball is the largest scenic structure that’s ever been built to tour.” It takes fifteen 53-foot long tractor trailers to move the castle and main stage.
