SPORTELMonaco and Eurodata TV Worldwide announce the Nominees of the 1st “European Sport TV Audience Award”

SPORTELMonaco and Eurodata TV Worldwide have joined forces in order to reward the sports events who deliver the highest ratings

David Tomatis, Monaco Mediax/Sportel C.E.O., and Jacques Braun, Eurodata TV Worldwide Vice-President report that this 1st « European Sport TV Audience Award » will be designated by viewers themselves through the sum of the audience delivered across 40 countries.

The winner will be the event that gathered the highest number of viewers over the period September 2009 to August 2010, in 3 territories at least.

Sporting events nominees are

- “2010 Winter Olympic Games"
- “Formula 1”
- “FIFA World Cup 2010”
- “FIFA World Cup Qualifier”
- “UEFA Champions League
- “UEFA Europa League”

These nominees reflect the key role that is played by these competitions and above all by their participants as ambassadors for the values of sport.

The nominees were pre-selected among the twenty best performing sports events 40 countries, i.e. 667 million potential viewers.

The winner will be announced at the Georges Bertellotti Golden Podium Awards Ceremony of the SPORTELMonaco, Tuesday 12th October 2010 in Monaco.

All the TV ratings of the major sports events of the year will be available in the 2010 edition of the “Yearly Sport Key Facts” report to be released in October on the occasion of Sportel.
